Information for Prospective Crew Members

Thanks for your interest in joining Memphis vARTCC. You will find ZME to be a excellent airspace that prides itself on friendliness and enjoyment of the hobby. Before you apply to join us, I strongly urge you to read the policies of ZME, found at the bottom of this page. Once you have done this, click the apply to join link on the left and fill out the application

Once your application has been approved, you can expect to begin your training shortly. Training here is done live and on sweatbox. There are no instructor assignments, so you may work with any available instructor. Your first task will be to take and pass the ZME SOP exam.

Then you'll be trained on Clearance Delivery and Ground. When you have completed that training you will be promoted to S1! After receiving your S1 you will begin training on tower and after completion of that training you'll be promoted to S2! From there, you will be trained on Approach & Departure, then promoted to S3, and finally you will be trained on Center and promoted to C1.
